Hosting Service

Key end benefit: Hosting your website with Access CRM gives you the peace-of-mind of having a professionally managed, secure and scalable platform without significant investment in hardware, software and staff.

Access CRM has the operating system platform, infrastructure and content options you need to support the full range of websites - from the most basic static site to dynamic and database-driven sites. Clients have complete flexibility in creating and managing access to the website, including update mechanisms to manage content. Content can also be secured and accessed only by authorized users, enabling clients to build an extranet which is not available to the public. The result is a proprietary website without the large investment in overhead, hardware, software and technically trained staff.

Overview

Content on the Internet is hosted by an aggregate system of servers, network equipment, and application software. Building a custom hosting platform for your content requires significant capital investment.
Maintaining the system requires an additional investment in technically trained staff. Hosting with AccessCRM gives you the peace-of-mind of having a professionally managed platform for your data that is scalable enough to meet your content requirements as your business grows – without significant investment in hardware, software and staff.

Hosting Platform

Access CRM uses Linux for its operating system platform and develops content using popular open-source products. In addition to static HTML, our Apache web server is capable of serving CGI pages written in either Perl or PHP. MySQL is used for our database technology, which enables us to optimize indexes and table structure for project-specific requirements.

Content Options

Clients can choose to have either static or dynamic content on their web site, and specify who has access to the content.

Static Content

Static content is the most basic type of web site, consisting primarily of HTML pages and graphic files. Access CRM has the ability to create, host and manage static content sites. Update mechanisms are also available should the client wish to manage their own content.

Dynamic Content

Dynamic and database-driven content are available via either mod_perl/Perl-CGI or PHP CGI pages. Content can be controlled either by local files or pulled from the MySQL database.

Content Access

Content can be secured so that only specific users or users connecting from a specified network can access it.
This is particularly useful in the case of building an extranet or other corporate management system, not generally available for public use.

Usage Reports

Access CRM offers a range of reporting options, enabling the client to get the most value from their online content. Sites can receive web-usage statistics and reports on a regular basis via email or online access. Additional reports can also be designed and generated for customzied analysis of site activity.

Infrastructure

By locating our server equipment in the Rackspace datacenters, we are able to take advantage of the benefits that Rackspace provides. Benefits include fire-suppression systems, constant climate control, and 24x7 equipment monitoring by the Rackspace support staff. Additional servers are located at AccessCRM's New York City and Long Island facilities on private networks where more sensitive data is stored.

Security

Active port monitoring and firewall protocols are in place to prevent unauthorized access to the servers, alerting system administrators when unsuccessful access attempts are made so they can be further investigated.
